The Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) and the Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) are co-hosting an interactive three-day event at the InterContinental Montréal, from October 15 to 17, 2024.
The event has two purposes:
- To review and discuss the recently completed draft Regional Risk Assessments for five Canadian provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Quebec, and
- To review producer obligations under the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), including training for users of the new SBP module for tracing geolocation data as required by the EUDR.
At this time, the draft RRAs are under preliminary review by the SBP Secretariat, who will make the drafts available for participant review and consultation prior to the event.
We urge all personnel involved in SBP certifications and EUDR compliance to attend.
